Everybody knows that the best advice is received from those who specialize in that particular sector you’re looking for advice in. Doctors know how to cure your flu, fitness experts will suggest you the best exercises and food plan to get in shape and so on. So who do you ask for the best advice when it comes to skincare? Models, of course! After all, looking effortlessly beautiful on every occasion it’s their job.
They’re surrounded every day by beauty experts and gurus of every kind, and they get access to the best beauty secrets available around, so I decided to do one research or two (more like one hundred!) on the subject.
And since I’m looking for ideas to change and improve my everyday skincare routine (this is my current one) – and I know you’re dying to know what I find out – I decided to write this post and share this gold with you (thank me later!)
Today *drumroll* we’ll explore (in details!) Miranda Kerr’s skincare routine and beauty secrets. ATTENTION: you will learn a thing or two, so grab your notebook and start taking notes…

THE BASIC SECRETS OF MIRANDA’S BEAUTY ROUTINE
As you might already know, since she’s currently one of the most famous models in the beauty industry, Miranda Kerr knows a thing or two about glowy skin. She even has her own line of vegan, cruelty-free, non-toxic, organic and natural products (I know what you’re thinking: this line has it all!) called Kora Organics. The beauty brand was born with the intent to provide certified-organic products that delivered actual results for the skin. She has credited Noni juice (an antioxidant-rich fruit native to Australasia), and coconut oil for her products’ effectiveness.
“I want people to be more aware of what they’re putting on to their skin and the potential harm or risk those chemicals carry,” she told Gritty Pretty.
But great skin is hard work, too. It’s not just about putting a few masks on your face and go eat an entire bag of Cheetos (
damn, I’m craving one today!) In fact, Miranda is extremely mindful of her diet, too, and she tries to eat as many organic foods as she can. Something you might not know is that she was a certified health coach before becoming a Victoria’s Secret Angel!
Now, I’m about to tell you something, and it’s up to you believing it or not. Ready? Miranda claimed that it takes her no longer than 15 minutes to get ready each day (emm…what?! A perfect-in-every-occasion supermodel known worldwide does ONLY spend 15 minutes to get ready?!)
“I usually have very little time in the mornings, especially with a toddler. So with these simple skin and beauty steps, I can get out the door in 15 minutes.” Feel free to take the time to process this information.
I don’t know about you, but I feel like she’s actually telling the truth. And if we investigate deeper, her beauty routine isn’t actually that complicated: “I believe in simple steps: cleanse, exfoliate, tone, moisturize, and a mask once a week” she told Into The Gloss.
Now let’s see what exact products she uses.
THE PRODUCTS MIRANDA USES
During Her Morning Skincare Routine
“Every morning, I wash my face with [this]. It’s a gentle, soap-free foaming cleanser.”
2. Face Mist:
“Once my face is cleansed, I then mist all over with the Kora Rose Balancing Mist. And this mist serves a dual purpose because I use it with my NuFace.”
“I use our citrus mist in the day because it’s energizing and the aromatherapy benefits of it are really incredible. I’m obsessed with them.”
“NuFace is a little lifting machine which needs to be activated with water or gel. I like to actually lift a little [near my eyes].”
4. Face Oil:
“I then apply Kora Organics Noni Glow, a couple of drops. I use this morning and night religiously. It has Noni extract, rosehip, pomegranate oil, sea buckthorn—it has so many antioxidants. I mix that actually with a little Soothing moisturizer.”
“My moisturizer depends on the state of my skin, so sometimes I’ll use [this].”
“Or, if I’m having a bit of a breakout, I’ll use Purifying Day and Night Cream.”
6. Tinted Moisturizer:
“I’ll apply the soothing Day and Night Cream mixed in with a little of the Tinted Day Cream. It’s quick and easy to apply and has the perfect amount of coverage. It leaves my complexion radiant with an even tone.”
“[Australians] take sun protection pretty seriously. I’m always in a big hat and cover my face as much as possible. I use Actinica, which is 50+ and protects against UVA and UVB.”
During Her Nighttime Skincare Routine
“Pretty much as soon as I get home from work, I like to just take off my makeup and slip into a robe. We have a really great cream cleanser, which I love to use to remove makeup because it’s really gentle.”
2. Face Mist:
“I will tone my skin with a lavender mist at night because it calms and helps promote restful sleep.”
“I’m obsessed with [it]! I use it a little too much. You know with those kinds of products, you should just use it every second day and whatnot, but I use it every day because I like that smooth skin that just feels so fresh. I leave it on for five-ish minutes.”
“I’ll use my Exfoliating Cream every second night.”
4. Face Oil:
“This face oil is so hydrating and it also balances the pH of your skin. I use it every night, I wake up, and my skin is literally glowing.”
“[It’s] also amazing at night, so I’ll wear that on my face—it’s great for age prevention.”
MIRANDA’S SKIN CARE TREATMENTS
“[In the evening] I’ll use a face mask, which I love putting on when I’m either doing yoga or taking a bath. I like to feel like I’m doing something when I have the face mask on. I’ll put the Purifying Mask on my T-zone.”
“[I’ll put] the Hydrating Mask around the outside of my face. Sometimes I will sleep in the hydrating one, and my skin wakes up so soft.”
“I like to make a cold cucumber mask to use on my face. You have to make sure the cucumbers are very cold and then grate them to make the mask. I also use cold cucumbers on my eyes if I wake up and my eyes are puffy. It really works for me.”
“Fill your basin with a jug of freshly boiled water, add an organic green tea bag to the water, place your head over the basin and cover with a large towel… let the steam envelope your face for a few minutes to open your pores.”
“I’ve had a leech facial. They’ve been doing leech therapy for thousands of years. I kept the leeches, they’re in my koi pond. You’re not allowed to re-use them and if you don’t take them home then she kills them and I didn’t like that idea.”
“After traveling I love to get into my portable infrared sauna. You literally get inside of it and then you can fold it up and put it underneath your bed once you’ve finished. It’s one of my all-time favorite purchases. My body feels so good after sweating it out in there. It’s an amazing way to detox your body!”
DRY BODY BRUSHING:
“I swear by dry body brushing to get the circulation going, remove dry skin cells, detoxify the body and start the lymphatic system. I begin at my feet and work my way up towards my heart. I do it every morning religiously.”
“I like to rinse my body with cold water when I have a shower. I have it on really nice and warm, then you go super-cold. It feels so invigorating and is so good for your scalp and your face, it really wakes you up.”
“Another thing I do is take a bath. I make it super hot and I put a pound of baking soda and a pound of sea salt and that draws [the toxins] out of your body.”
THE SUPPLEMENTS MIRANDA TAKES
As we already said, Miranda takes care of her skin health from the inside out. She uses amazing organic products on her face, but she also makes sure that she’s always treating her body the way it deserves. And apart from eating as much organic food as she can and working out regularly (let’s not forget she’s a model!), Miranda takes powders and vitamins to make her skin healthy and glowy.
Kora Organics Noni Glow Skinfood Dietary Supplement Powder:
“This is a superfood supplement. It’s so easy to travel with. It’s a single-serve sachet, so you empty this into water and then you drink it. It’s for your skin so that you are glowing from the inside out. And it also is great for energy.”
IV Vitamin Therapy:
“With all of my travel and flying, it’s really hard to stay hydrated. And [the IV is] really hydrating.”
“I also take chlorella daily, vitamin C, and probiotics. If you have a healthy gut you have a healthy brain and generally a healthy body—I think that is so important.”
MORNING BEAUTY TIPS FROM MIRANDA
These are Miranda’s recommended morning beauty tips.
Drink Warm Water With Lemon As Soon As You Wake Up
“I drink a glass of warm water with the juice of half an organic lemon each morning. Warm lemon water in the morning helps kick start the digestion process for the rest of the day. It’s also a morning ritual that cleanses the system, boosts your immune system and balances pH levels because lemons are very alkalizing. They are also abundant in vitamin C, which promotes healing and health.”
Try Dry Body Brushing Before Getting Into The Shower
“Dry body brushing is an integral part of my daily regime. It’s a great way to get the circulation going, remove dead skin cells, aid lymphatic drainage, detoxify your system and keep your skin smooth all over. I start with my feet and legs and work my way up in quick gentle strokes… it needn’t be too time-consuming and just takes a few minutes before jumping into the shower.”
Multitask While In The Shower
“I multitask in the shower and cleanse both my face and body. I like to use KORA Organics Foaming Cleanser for my face – it’s a gentle, soap-free, foaming cleanser formulated to gently cleanse the skin of impurities. The Aloe Vera, Green Tea and Sandalwood protect the skin from free radical damage while leaving the skin feeling fresh, clean and never dry or taut.
“I then apply a small amount of KORA Organics Essential Body Wash to a sponge and cleanse all over, it’s an uplifting aromatic blend of organically sourced essential oils such as Ylang Ylang, Sandalwood and Rose – so it’s the perfect uplifting sensory start to the day!”
Keep A Mist In Your Handbag Throughout The Day
“To maintain my skin’s hydration throughout the day I keep a mist in my handbag and gently spritz throughout the day when required to freshen up.”
Hair Care Is Crucial
“I wash my hair in the evening so it can dry naturally overnight, then all I have to do in the morning is style it. At the moment I prefer a low braid or a high topknot, as they both require little time and effort but still look feminine and polished. I also use a hairbrush with a natural bristle as it promotes shine and is gentle on the scalp.”
Quick & Easy Makeup
Face: “I apply KORA Organics Tinted Day Cream as a healthy alternative to foundation. It’s quick and easy to apply and has the perfect amount of coverage. Use your fingers to apply, as the warmth will help the formulation melt into your skin for a flawless finish.”
Eyes: “The eyes really frame the face. I apply two to three coats of mascara.”
Finish off: “To finish off my look I apply lip balm if I want a more natural look, or a tint or lipstick in a shade of red if I want to make more of a statement – the red also brightens my complexion instantly. If I need a little more coverage I sparingly use RMS concealer where required.”
Cold Pressed Juices Can Do Magic
“Green cold-pressed juices are packed with live, whole ingredients so it’s an instant health hit to the bloodstream. The chlorophyll contained in cold-pressed green juices can help keep your blood healthy and are very oxygenating. Green juices are high in vitamins and minerals making them great contributors to clear skin and bright eyes.”
(EVEN MORE) BEAUTY ADVICE FROM MIRANDA
Listen Up When Your Grandmother Talks About Beauty
“My grandmother introduced me to Noni (the antioxidant-rich fruit we talked about, one of the main ingredients in Miranda’s beauty line) when I was 13 and I would drink the juice every day,”
“If I had a sunburn, I’d put it directly on my skin and notice how effective it was. I also noticed a difference in my energy. Right now, the Noni Glow Face Oil is my favorite. It contains all of these great oils: rosehip, pomegranate, sea buckthorn, and obviously noni extract. I use it every night, I wake up, and my skin is literally glowing.”
The Power Of Aromatherapy
According to Miranda, every special event gets better if you put on some uplifting scent, as it raises your energy and makes you shine.
“For the red carpet, I also always carry a little Heart Chakra Aromatherapy Oil. Because it’s so transformative through the senses, I feel like when your energy is good and you’re feeling good, then you shine more. I believe in taking care of your mind, your body, and your skin — from the inside-out. For example, feeding your mind with positive affirmations and self-love when you’re using the oil. I use it as an alternative to perfume it feels really uplifting. When you use it on your pulse points, you’ll feel the vibrations of love through it.”
But aromatherapy is also great for traveling and falling asleep easily.
Use Oils For Your Acne
Unlike what you might expect, Miranda is firmly in the pro-oils camp.
“I’ve noticed that a lot of my customers in America tend to be afraid of them, but they’re such a good source of vitamins. The use of oils for cleansing is based on the scientific principle that like dissolves like, so oil will dissolve the sebum that clogs up our pores and cause acne and without irritation.”
Also, if you’re having a breakout…
“If I’m having a breakout, I like to balance the pH of my skin with my Noni Glow Oil. I find that that really helps, even with treating it overnight. I put it on after cleansing, misting, exfoliating, and moisturizing — I’ll use my Exfoliating Cream every second night, too.”
Face Mask After Your Workout Routine
Apart from oils, aromatherapy and grandmas’ secrets, Miranda is also a big advocate for masks… and ballet!
“I do face masks all the time, when I’m doing ballet or on phone calls. I love being able to multitask and that’s the best way to do it.”
Her ‘Hydrating Mask’ is packed with calming ingredients like Aloe and rose flower water — those are perfect for soothing inflammation and cooling you down.
